A Bed for the Birds

While I was walking through Mariner Point Park in Joppatowne, I heard a sound like a powerboat. I thought it was fishermen heading out for a day on the Chesapeake Bay. But the “powerboat” didn’t move; it just kept humming. Loudly. Eventually, I found the source – these grasses:
I hung out; waited awhile; hoping to be rewarded. Eventually, the birds were ready to start their journey for the day after bedding down in the grasses for the night.
