Collecting Samples for Tree / Leaf ID

As part of the Master Naturalist training, we were introduced to tree identification. There’s memorization, but also the skill of noticing certain things about the leaf and bark, and making your way through a dichotomous key to ascertain what you’re looking at.
On this outing, I just collected samples and took photos – so I can spend more time at home properly identifying them.

First some deciduous trees – several leaf samples and 1 pic of bark (other pics didn’t turn out well enough to post on blog.)
